DRIVER'S EDUCATION SCHECHTER HIGH SCHOOL
WELCOME TO DRIVER'S EDUCATION
This program is accessible to everyone.
This course includes both the lecture and driving portions as required by NYS DMV for students ages 16 to 17. A senior license can be obtained at age 17 provided that the course is completed (MV 285 received) and the student has held a permit.
The student will receive the MV-285 Certificate of Completion, which enables them to obtain a senior license at age 17.
The information for the certificate is directly pulled from our system.
- Driver Registration
- Registrants must be at least 16 years old at the time of registration.
- Registration must be completed and paid for by credit card.
Registrants must possess a valid NYS Learner's Permit at the beginning of the class. Students are required to hold their valid Learner's Permit.
Driver Education covers topics such as traffic laws, road safety, driver responsibilities, and accident avoidance.

Registrants must have a valid NYS Learner's Permit at the start of class. Students must bring their valid Learner's Permit at the start of class (and every day of class).
